Corey Burke-Newman Occupational Therapist Corey received her degree from Quinnipiac College in 2000. She moved to the Charlotte area from Long Island, NY in 2006. Over the past 10 years, Corey has dedicated her career to the pediatric population, working in the clinic, school and home-based settings. She actively participates in professional development and has been certified in Infant Massage and Therapeutic Listening. Corey enjoys working with all children and has a great deal of experience working with Autism and Sensory Integration Disorders. Down syndrome has also become a focus area for Corey as she and her husband have a beautiful daughter with DS. She has found that not only do the joys of parenthood help her to better relate to clients’ families but that having a child of her own with a disability has given her greater insight and compassion towards the families she works with. Corey currently serves South Charlotte and Matthews. |
