Early Intervention
The Early Intervention Program was created by Congress in 1986 under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to assist the families of children under the age of three who have a disability or developmental delay or are at risk for developing one.
In North Carolina, this program is administered through the Children’s Developmental Services Agencies and in South Carolina, this program is administered through BabyNet. By receiving therapy through one of these programs, it can reduce your out-of-pocket expenses, sometimes significantly.
